WORCESTER - Thomas Levesque, the man charged with manslaughter for starting and then failing to report last December's deadly Worcester warehouse fire, had a cell phone with him the day of the blaze, attorneys said yesterday in Worcester Superior Court.
That's one reason the Worcester County District Attorney's Office acknowledged it has a stronger case against Levesque than his former girlfriend and co-defendant, Julie Barnes.
"She is in part responsible, but in all honesty I have to say that Mr. Levesque is more responsible for this fire," Assistant District Attorney Lawrence J. Murphy said yesterday while arguing against defense motions to dismiss ...
