Aug. 8--SAN RAMON, Calif.--Pacific Bell and its owner, SBC Communications Inc., hoping to accommodate swift expansion of their online services, have agreed to a deal that would shift hundreds of employees from San Francisco to San Ramon.
Executives intend to relocate the local operations of SBC Internet Services and another SBC online unit, ASI, to a new phase of Bishop Ranch, the office park whose principal developer is Sunset Development Co. The companies are expected to move late this year and early 2001, said Rodd Aubrey, a spokesman for Pacific Bell.
