You won't see any incredible numbers here on the amount of garbage the Coon Creek Country Days festival created - or even the number of people who passed through (estimates are around 10,000) - but you will see that this may have been the last year Maynard Petersen steamed his corn for us in the old steam engine.
There have been 18 years of corn boils, and at some time it all has to come to an end. But if you have ever had the corn that's been grown, picked and husked locally and then boiled to perfection, then you'll join in chanting with me, "Say it ain't so, Maynard!"
It's just such a wonderful Hampshire tradition, we'd hate to lose it or Coon Creek ...
