WICHITA FALLS, Texas _ Six representatives from a group trying to lure the Cowboys to the Rio Grande Valley for training camps paid a visit to the team's Midwestern State University facilities on Thursday.
"This is not a negotiating trip. We're up here strictly to observe and learn ... to see how it's done," said Randy Whittington, Rio Grande Valley Regional Sports Authority chairman, adding with a laugh, "And to see what we've gotten ourselves into, if it happens."
The Cowboys break camp one week from Friday, completing their third year on a year-to-year lease arrangement with Midwestern State.
