ATLANTA-It's just over six years since Wools of New Zealand was formed to promote the use of New Zealand wool around the world and Charles Maddrey was named managing director of its North American operation. Now, with Maddrey's resignation and the release of a study commissioned by the New Zealand Wool Board, Wools of New Zealand is poised for the next phase.

Effective August 7, Maddrey will step down and return to a career in management consulting. Wes Connelly, technical manager for Wools of New Zealand in North America, will serve as acting managing director.
