FreeHand was established in order to develop an application-specific, 16-bit data-word programmable DSP IP core and processors based on that core. The processors will be designed to implement software algorithms for adaptive filtering and echo cancellation while consuming little power. Freehand plans to offer both soft and hard IP cores, which they will integrate into an ASIC or develop the complete ASIC depending on customer needs.
