Few people who have seen or read the celebrated contemporary Irish play ``The Beauty Queen of Leenane'' would call it a ``nice'' play.
``But the nice thing about it,'' says director Richard E.T. White, ``is that it's so dishy for the actors: It's got love, sex, humor, anger, rage, violence. The actors have a ball.''
And so do audiences, apparently. For the past three years, ``Beauty Queen'' has been a reliable theater sensation first in Ireland, then in London, then New York and now all over the world. White's production of ``Beauty Queen'' opens Monday at the Seattle Repertory Theatre.
