On CNN last weekend, the Rev. Jerry Falwell issued an unusual denial. He claimed that another author had written the controversial ``Tinky Winky'' piece appearing in one of his newsletters.
Seems Falwell had never seen a Teletubby - much less concluding that one was gay.
The editorial previously attributed to Falwell had ``outed'' Tinky Winky of the PBS children's show, ``Teletubbies.'' The writer claimed that since Tinky Winky was purple, has an antenna shaped like an inverted triangle, carries a purse and sometimes wears a skirt, he must be gay.
