The metal gates surrounding posh new subdivisions here are little match for the lessons available on the Internet, lessons that may have prompted a group of eighth-graders to set a rash of fires with homemade napalm.
For 10 months, the fire-setting spree has rocked this well-to-do suburban enclave south of Tacoma. Yesterday, the volatile situation came to a head.
Shortly after 10 a.m., police swooped down on Curtis Junior High School and hauled away five eighth-grade boys they believe set repeated fires after getting a recipe for napalm off an Internet Web site. The arrests came after police got word that the boys were threatening and intimidating ...
