Jon Kitna is pumped.
That's nothing new, of course. The only remaining quarterback on the Seahawks' roster was born fired up, and it is the excitement he can generate and his own excitability that make it so easy for fans, teammates and coaches to like him as a person and a player.
But this is different, because so much about the Seahawks has changed with the arrival of new general manager and head coach Mike Holmgren.
There's a new offense, one that plays to Kitna's strengths. There's renewed optimism that this team finally can make the playoffs after a 10-year absence, the longest drought in the NFL. There's the opportunity to be the starter ...
