They played inspired. They played hurt. They played tired. Now, Mercer Island High School's Gang of Four will play for it all.
The Islanders, still weary from their physical game against No. 1-ranked and previously unbeaten Mount Vernon Thursday, outlasted Seattle Prep 56-41 last night at the Kingdome to advance to tonight's championship game in the boys Class 3A state basketball tournament.
Mercer Island will play a familiar opponent in the 7 p.m. title game - O'Dea, a team the Islanders defeated by four points in the semifinals of last week's Sea-King district tournament.
