When a self-employed mother with four children showed up at the state Capitol two weeks ago, she provided a rare moment of clarity.
Flanked by Gov. Gary Locke on one side and legislators and pediatricians on the other, Julie Stringfellow spoke these words at a news conference about children's health insurance:
``We are not asking for something for nothing. We are willing to pay our share.''
At question is whether Washington will participate in the nation's largest children's health care initiative since the 1960s.
