So Hillary Clinton is going to run for a Senate seat in New York. Two years ago I was on Martha's Vineyard and the first lady made an impression on me that I have not forgotten.
I was one of a rotating cadre of Cape Cod Times reporters, along with the national media, covering the Clinton vacation.
Believe it or not, there were other island assignments besides stalking the Clintons. For example, there was the 90th birthday bash for Dorothy West, the Harlem Renaissance novelist who died last year. (Her celebrated book ``The Wedding'' was made into a television movie by Oprah Winfrey.)
