Little about the Icicle Creek Chamber Music Festival is Bavarian, even faux-Bavarian.
Nearby Leavenworth may specialize in all varieties of folk rococo - colorful, delicious, fun - but the festival and its home, Sleeping Lady on Icicle Creek, find alternative ways to charm the summer crowds.
The monthlong festival, which moved from August to July this season, makes every effort to be friendly, but Beethoven, Schumann, Mozart, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Schubert and their ilk remain fixtures at concerts.
