The same day the general manager of Safeco Field's food vendor promised that food-handling problems ``won't happen again,'' public health officials found an even greater number of serious food safety violations.
Public health inspectors identified 26 ``red critical'' violations at the Mariners' new stadium upon re-inspection Thursday of concession stands and kiosks operated or managed by Volume Services America Inc.
``This is unacceptable,'' said Dr. Alonzo Plough, director of Public Health-Seattle & King County. ``We will not allow this to become a chronic problem.''
