It's Seattle's newest dining trend: steakhouse makeovers on Lake Union.
The freshest face in the rapidly expanding field is Meridien Restaurant/Bar, set to open Sept. 28 in what has been Arnies at Gas Works Park at 1900 N. Northlake Way. Meridien will tighten the focus on slabs of beef while continuing to offer seafood and other options, owner Michael Jallits said. The new place also will move up the dining scale, with main courses at dinner priced from $10 to $21.95.
Meridien will emphasize big portions of simply prepared food, served in a remodeled setting accented with brick, stone, wood and autumn colors. Menu choices will include a 22-ounce, ...
