The University of Washington and Whitman College in Walla Walla were once again listed among the top schools in the country in the annual U.S. News & World Report rankings of American colleges.
The UW, which had slipped out of the top 50 in the past two years, was ranked 44th among national universities and 13th among the nation's public universities.
