In first blush, ``Cold Feet'' looked like a sappy loser. After recasting one of the roles, the producers reshot the pilot episode and, on second blush, ``Cold Feet'' still looks like a sappy loser.
Then again, so did ``Providence,'' which promptly became a hit for NBC last season after outpacing Vermont in sap production. So, no predictions here. ``Cold Feet'' may be sappy, but it also may be what America wants.
Mannered, artificial and silly, like the second season of ``Ally McBeal,'' ``Cold Feet'' zeroes in on three couples, two of them married, the third just getting started in the relationship tango. One of the married couples has a child, the other ...
