Farm and environmental groups are criticizing a plan for saving Methow Valley fish.
Representatives from the Okanogan Resource Council, Okanogan County Farm Bureau and Methow Valley Canal Associates recently sent the Okanogan County Commission letters opposing the county's participation.
The draft agreement involving the county and state and federal agencies calls for a voluntary program of increasing Methow Valley stream flows in order to comply with the federal Endangered Species Act.
