Police in Seattle shifted tactics once again yesterday, avoiding tear gas and rubber bullets while community leaders negotiated an end to curfews, large no-protest zones and other Draconian measures.
It was a marked change from Wednesday, when police used extreme measures to quell anti-police protests downtown and on Capitol Hill related to the World Trade Organization meeting.
After making 68 arrests Tuesday and 504 Wednesday, police in Seattle locked up only two protesters yesterday.
