Two of the top Metro girls basketball teams squared off last night as Holy Names outlasted Lakeside, 38-25, in a game in which both sides displayed flashes of post-season intensity.
``That felt more like February than December,'' Lakeside coach Sandy Schneider said. ``We just didn't have an answer for their pressure defense in the second half.''
Schneider compared the game to a classic boxing match with two opponents taking their best shots at each other, but in the end it was Holy Names left standing after wearing down the Lions.
