If there's even a chance of seeing the harvest moon tonight, you gotta.
Last harvest moon of the millennium. Last moon we might see until Easter, given our long-range weather guesses.
And it's just plain beautiful. I caught a glimpse of it last weekend, as it was waxing toward it's Saturday fullness, and again yesterday morning. It will hang around up there as it slowly wanes over the next few days.
When I first noticed this moon, it was coming up from the general direction of Enumclaw, into an evening sky so clear that dozens of small stars were visible before dark. You could even make out the darkened part of the waxing moon.
