GRAND BLANC, Mich. _ The furor is over, the tumult and shouting have subsided.
The Flint area and southeastern Michigan can return to normal. Like Elvis leaving the building, Tiger Woods has left the area.
And the winner of the Buick Open is: Rocco Mediate!
Woods didn't make any pull-it-out-of-the-hat miracle, but enough drama was packed into the final hole to make up for it.
Instead of El Tigre, it was Sir Rocco, a lame-backed, fast-talking, good-natured 38-year-old Pennsylvanian who hung around the leaders for 71 holes, then brought heartbreak to Chris Perry at the tournament's final hole.
Mediate whacked a nine-iron ...
