Adolph Saurer Buys 2 Swiss Firms; Predict Sales Hike of 30 Percent
Adolph Saurer Ltd. of Switzerland has purchased Carl Hamel Ltd. and Oehler Ltd., both also of Switzerland.
Leon Hotz, president of Saurer Corp. Textile Machinery, the U.S. subsidiary, told DNR Thursday the move will increase Adolph Saurer's sales by about 30 percent annually and will give the company a better position in the twisting machinery and embroidery and quilting machinery markets. No purchase price was disclosed.
Hotz said Adolph Saurer intends to unite Carl Hamel Ltd., Oehler Ltd., Saurer-Allma GmbH, as well as the embroidery machine division and the weaving machine ...
