As part of her job, Irene Leuenberger sometimes samples hot dogs all day.
Leuenberger is group leader of the Oscar Mayer Foods test kitchen that evaluates dozens of products from the latest hot dog flavors to complete meal recipes.
``Sometimes I am eating hot dogs at 8 o'clock in the morning,'' Leuenberger said. ``Another day, it's grilled chicken. . . . Every day is different.''
Taking a product from the concept and design stage all the way to testing and release in the marketplace can be an arduous task that can last months or even years.
