It is time for a confession: Like so many young people around the world, I have become a part of the teen-idol mania.
I try not to be seduced by all the media attention surrounding the latest pop culture trend. I look away from the incessant magazine covers at the check-out lines; I change the channel from the never-ending television coverage; and I avoid the myriad of displays in music stores.
