NEW YORK-Bluelight.com, the e-commerce site of retail giant Kmart, registered the highest number of unique visitors in June, edging out the online sites of J.C. Penney and Sears. Sears.com had been number one in May.
In its monthly survey of home goods sites, Media Metrix found that 1,835 Web surfers logged onto Bluelight.com at least once during the month, which qualifies them as unique visitors.
That was 54 more visitors than clicked onto JCPenney.com and 130 more than visited Sears.com.
Surveying 55,000 individuals, Media Metrix counts each visitor only once, regardless of whether he or she clicks on at home or the office.
