DARK DENIM GETS MAJOR FALL ROLE By JUDY BLOOMFIELD
NEW YORK -- Dark inky blue and black denim are expected to play a major role in the hotly competitive jeans arena this fall and holiday season.
Although major denim manufacturers are bullish about the fashion trends, they have planned their businesses conservatively for the second half of '88 in light of a difficult retail environment.
A narrower focus on denim as sportswear separates is also contributing to this conservatism.
