MUSA LABORAVIT, and has brought forth...not much: 471 inaptly titled pages (plus impedimenta) of murk and mumble out of which the reviewer staggers, his basket filled to overflowing with freshly-picked nits.
First, the style. We can dispose of that swiftly: there isn't one. Declarative sentences, one after another after another, swim before the eye like great grey dugongs in aimless procession.
