Small arms producer Taurus, based at Rio Grande do Sul state, and the ammunition producer CBC (Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos), based at Sao Paulo state, are restructuring to overcome losses. Taurus is transfering its production of acessories, helmets, and ammunition from Sao Paulo to Curitiba, where it plans to expand production. Also the company is interested in to acquire a locks unit at Sao Paulo. Until the end of 2000 year CBC will announce an association with a company from Israel to supply security equipment.
