Buckle My Shoe is known as one of Britain's most prestigious children's-footwear brands, with a celebrity clientele that includes everyone from Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman to Demi Moore. The company last year sold about 350,000 pairs worth an estimated $25 million at retail.
The company's success prompted the London department store Harvey Nichols to ask Buckle My Shoe in 1996 to operate its entire children's-wear area as a leased department. Now, as a result of the department's success, Harvey Nichols has tripled the space it devoted to children's wear to 1,600 square feet.
