Patients who are diagnosed with allergic asthma, or with allergies such as hay fever or sinusitis that predispose them to asthma, should strongly consider allergy shots to prevent the development of new or more serious disease. This was the consensus of an international conference sponsored by the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) that reviewed current and new research on immunotherapy.
