SOME WOMEN spend years looking for ``Mr. Right.''
Vicky J. Lougher discovered her dream in ``Mr. Ugly.''
That's the name she gave the first Teddy bear she crafted eight years ago from a McCall's magazine pattern, using cheap, fake fur. Today, the skilled seamstress creates cuddly critters inside her Great Bridge home that fetch $95 to $1,800 from bear collectors around the world.
Lougher (pronounced Locker) won the ``Golden Teddy'' award (the Teddy bear world's equivalent of the Oscars) in 1996 and '97. And she has been nominated for the TOBY award - another coveted prize awarded annually by ``Teddy Bear and Friends'' magazine - in 1996, '98 ...
