The Ulster Farmers' Union has urged all pig producers to be extra vigilant and observe strict biosecurity measures in order to keep the island of Ireland free of classical swine fever.
Charlie Pogue, chairman of the UFU Central Pigs Committee, said that Swine fever had not occurred in Ireland since 1958.
