ROSEVILLE, Calif., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ --

Roseville Communications Company today announced the retirement of Robert L. Doyle as chairman of the board of directors. Doyle, who has served as director of the company and its predecessor, Roseville Telephone Company, since 1953, also served as chief executive officer of the company until 1993. The board of directors elected his brother, Thomas E. Doyle, to succeed him as chairman of the board. Tom was previously vice-chairman and has been on the board since 1951. He is a successful local businessman and former chairman of Placer Savings Bank, serving on its board for 39 years.
