NED KELLY REPORTS FROM THE DOCK
On the nights of 19 and 20 of May 2000, the Supreme Court of Victoria was host to the Victorian Bar Theatre Company's production The Queen v. Edward `Ned' Kelly. It consisted of a re-enactment of the original trial from 1880 followed by a re-trial of Kelly's case by two present-day Queens Counsels. The production, mounted as part of Law Week 2000, was written by Tom Wright and directed by Nicholas Harrington and attracted, as events involving or considering Kelly seem to do, a great deal of interest.
