American Jewish Congress Executive Director Phil Baum released the following statement today following news that the State of Texas has requested the federal courts, rather than Texas state courts, to hear the case in which AJCongress and the Texas Civil Rights Project maintain that a faith-based Texas charitable choice jobs training program violates the First Amendment separation of church and state:
