Vina San Pedro, the Chilean winery controlled by the Luksic group, is going to expand to new international markets with wines made in Argentina. The company bought 411 hectares and an old winery in Mendoza. They already bought 200 hectares in the area last year. The project will be a US$20mil investment and practically all the wine that they are going to produce in Mendoza will be for export. Matias Elton, General Manager of Vina San Pedro, says that their idea is to make the most of synergies between Chilean and Argentinean wines using the trade network that they have in more than 50 countries.
