MANILA, Aug 23 Asia Pulse - Lycos Asia, a US$50-million joint venture between the United States-based Lycos Inc., the Internet's leading multi-brand network, and Singapore Telecom (SingTel) launched the Lycos Asia portal in the Philippines Tuesday. Lycos Asia is a site dedicated to Internet users in the Philippines and individuals with a special interest in the country.
With the launch of Lycos Philippines, Lycos Asia's reach in Asia now includes localized sites in seven Asian countries and also expands an already dominant Lycos global network which now covers 80 sites in 28 countries.
