For months, CBS has been duping viewers.
First the network convinced us Gretchen was the winner. Then we knew without a doubt that Gervase would leave the island with $1 million.
By refusing to deny false "Survivor" reports, creatively editing the show's opening sequence and purposely placing misleading information on its Web site, CBS kept the ultimate "Survivor" a secret. The network's tricky tactics made for positively delicious summer viewing.
But CBS' duplicitous ways appear to have taken a more sinister turn.
