Sen. Patty Murray and other Northwest leaders are finding it difficult to locate someone to take the helm at the Bonneville Power Administration in Portland.
Murray has asked the White House for more time to find a candidate in the face of pressures from the U.S. Department of Energy, which wants to foist its own candidate upon the region. The White House should grant Murray the extra time.
