A capacity audience came to adore the Mark Morris Dance Group Thursday night at Meany Hall, and adore the company it did.
Why should Seattle be any different than cities such as New York, Boston, London, Paris, San Francisco and a few dozen others? None of which can boast of his being a native son.
The Mark Morris ensemble has always been a strong company, wonderfully individual yet well-trained and highly disciplined. The 16 dancers - not including the choreographer, who danced twice Thursday night - seem even more so today. Some are new but others, such as Ruth Davidson and Guillermo Resto, date from the earliest years of the company nearly 20 years ...
