Limits remain in effect, but you can forget about licenses Saturday and Sunday during the state's Free Fishing Weekend.
Fishing should actually be pretty good. It has been one of the best trout seasons in years since the April opening of seasonal waters, and the state has planted many lakes recently in preparation for this weekend.
Volunteers will be on hand at about two dozen hot spot lakes to help beginners, and the Department of Fish and Wildlife is urging parents to introduce their kids to angling.
