Kenworth Truck Co., which two years ago suspended assembly work at its East Marginal Way facility, is building trucks there again because market demand is so strong.
Edward Caudill, Kenworth's general manager, said production at the Seattle plant is up to four heavy-duty trucks a day after resuming a few months ago. He said the company plans to add medium-duty truck production at the plant and boost production to 18 a day.
The return of production to the Seattle plant will add 200 to 300 jobs, Caudill said.
