A fantasy sequence in ``Spice World,'' the sunny feature-length music video in which the Spice Girls make their movie debut, finds the stars looking blowzy and boozy sometime in the not-so-distant future. Motherhood has not been kind (``Thank God for boarding school!'' one exclaims), and the ex-celebrities have grown so over-the-hill that they no longer even like pop music.
Disarmingly, the film thus acknowledges the Spice Girls' flash-in-the-pan status and lets them kid around about their frankly synthetic career. It even incorporates a dead-on assessment of their recording style: ``That was absolutely perfect without actually being any good.''
