Spirituality is, it seems, everywhere these days. I am constantly running into people who describe themselves as ``very spiritual, but not religious.'' Some people are busily trying to sell spirituality, or tell others how they can get it, though I tend to think it is more given than gotten. And a lot of people are searching. Searching for something deep, something spiritual.
So I decided to check in with my dog, Homer. If spirituality is ubiquitous, why not consult man's best friend? Sure enough, I discovered that our part golden retriever, part unknown, four-legged companion was in touch with the spiritual dimension in a rich and multi-layered way.
