Article: LOOMING WAR IN CENTRAL AFRICA THREATENS SEVERAL COUNTRIES.(Editorial)

Central Africa is on the brink. The rebellion in Congo has drawn in its neighbors. The result, unless all sides draw back, could be a conflagration involving half a dozen countries in the heart of Africa.

This week, the Congolese rebels, strongly backed by Rwanda and to an extent by Uganda too, closed in on the capital, Kinshasa. As they did so, Zimbabwe and Angola said they would be sending arms and troops to help President Laurent Kabila fight them.
