The Cheesecake Factory - an upscale restaurant chain that serves more than two dozen kinds of cheesecake - may open in downtown Bellevue.
The developers of the proposed Meydenbauer Place retail-office-hotel complex say they've signed The Cheesecake Factory to a letter of intent for a street-side space at 110th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Eighth Street.
A letter of intent is a non-binding agreement that lays out terms of a possible lease and sets the stage for continued negotiations. So it's not a done deal.
The Cheesecake Factory, based in Calabasas, Calif., did not return a call for comment.
