Sahalee Country Club will receive the third annual MVP award from the Sports and Events Council of Seattle/King County tomorrow at a luncheon at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers.
Sahalee was selected for the award after hosting the PGA Championship in August. Club founders Carl Jonson and Jack Wright will accept the award.
Because of the success of the '98 tournament, the PGA of America has asked Sahalee to host another PGA Championship in the next decade, most likely in 2006 or later. A Ryder Cup or U.S. Open at Sahalee also are possibilities.
