Movies such as ``Braveheart'' ignite renewed interest in both genealogy and heraldry. According to the Mel Gibson movie, a child was supposedly fathered by William Wallace with the wife of the heir to the English throne - the child who would become King Edward III.
Is the movie accurate genealogically? Not according to ``The Feudal Herald,'' an online newsletter from The Baronage Press, which features heraldry and related subjects on its Web site: http://www.baronage.co.uk
It devotes two articles to the subject. One regards the descendants of Sir William Wallace and the other, called ``Braveheart,'' is a farrago of nonsense.
